German recipe from the Bayern region

  • 200g butter,

Mix all the ingredients, knead well and leave for an hour to rest. Put the dough in the form and make different shapes, which are placed in trays lined with baking paper. Leave it somewhere cold until the next morning when it is put in the oven over a moderate heat. Serve cold with icing sugar and candies. It is stored for a long time in tin boxes lined with baking paper.

  • For the dough
  • 500 g of flour
  • 1 cube of brewer's yeast
  • 100 g sugar
  • 150 ml of water
  • 150 g margarine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon peel
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar.
  • For the filling
  • 200 g apricot jam
  • 150 g mac
  • 50 g sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon peel.

Poppy croissants

Method of preparation:

Dissolve the brewer's yeast and a teaspoon of sugar in 2-3 tablespoons of lukewarm water. Leave to rise for 10 minutes, then pour in the sifted flour and knead with the margarine rubbed with the rest of the sugar, the rest of the lukewarm water, the vanilla sugar and the lemon peel. Cover with a napkin and leave to rise for half an hour.

For the filling, mix the jam with the lemon juice and the poppy seeds boiled in water with sugar and lemon peel. The dough raised from poppy cones is spread in a thin sheet of 5-6 mm, rectangular in shape. Spread the filling, roll the poppies and cut into 3-4 cm pieces, which are placed in a pan greased with a little oil. Put the tray in the hot oven and bake at the right heat until lightly browned, about 30 minutes.

  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 200 g vanilla flavored powdered sugar
  • For syrup:

  • 2 tablespoons orange blossom water
  • 250 g margarine
  • 100 ml oil
  • 750 g of flour

Gazelle horns

Method of preparation:

Mix flour, oil, melted margarine, orange blossom water. Then add about 200 ml of water. Mix well, knead and let the dough rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the filling, for which the walnuts are mixed with vanilla-flavored powdered sugar. Add a little orange blossom water just to help bind the ingredients. Roll out the dough, then cut into 10 cm wide strips. Put a little filling, roll and bring the corners inwards. Bake for 30 minutes. After baking and cooling, the recipe for croissants & # 8222corns & # 8221 is put in a syrup prepared from caster sugar, lemon juice and a little water. Then sprinkle with vanilla-flavored powdered sugar.

Cornlets with figs


  • 250 g figs
  • For the filling:
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • a thin knife tip of baking soda
  • a tablespoon of white vinegar
  • 60 g of almond flour
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 100 g margarine
  • 125 g flour
  • the peel of a lemon
  • a little lemon juice.

Method of preparation:

Rub the margarine with the sugar to obtain a frothy cream, in which vinegar and salt are added. Mix well. Add the almond flour, then the flour mixed with the baking soda. Stir, cover with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, the figs are passed through the mincer, mixed with grated lemon peel and a little juice to have a soft paste. From the dough break the balls that are shaped between the palms, put a small amount of figs and cover between the palms. Put the croissants with figs in the baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 15 minutes.

Fasting croissants with ground walnuts


  • a packet of margarine
  • 300 g flour
  • 150 g ground nuts
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • a pinch of salt.

Method of preparation:

The margarine is melted and then left to cool. Mix the flour well with the salt and 100 g of powdered sugar and then pour, in several batches, the cooled margarine. Stir in the flour and, after all the margarine has been used and the dough has become homogeneous, spread it on the work table sprinkled with flour, cut and fill each strip with ground walnuts. Roll the croissants and place them in the baking tray lined with paper. Leave in the oven for 20 minutes, depending on the oven. Cornlets with fasting borscht


  • 300 ml borscht
  • 50 ml oil
  • 850 g flour
  • A cube of fresh yeast
  • a tablespoon of sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • jam

Method of preparation:

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in a little warm water and let it swell for 10 minutes. Mix the borscht well with the oil, and the flour with the salt. Pour the mayo over the flour, mix lightly and then put the composition with borscht. Knead and then leave the dough to rise for 30 minutes. Round sheets of dough are spread on the table sprinkled with flour, which are cut in circles and filled with jam. Roll, place in the baking tray and bake.   • 100 g margarine
  • 140 g of flour
  • 50 g of almond flour
  • 40 g sugar

Rodica salt

Although I have many recipes for pickles, the other day I found one with dough that can stay in the fridge overnight. Great, I tell myself! For cookies and pickles, although the dough is easy to make, cutting, placing in the pan and dipping takes a long time and requires standing. So I make this recipe!

Ingredient: 250 g telemea, 200 g cold butter, 300 g flour, 2 eggs (1 for dough and one for spread on top), cumin, sesame, poppy seeds

Method of preparation: In a bowl put the grated telemeau, the cold butter put on the grater, the flour and the egg. If the telemeau is not salty enough, add a teaspoon of salt. Mix all the ingredients in the food processor, then remove the dough from the board and gather in a compact bowl. Put it in foil and put it in the fridge for at least 6 hours, I left it until the next day.

Take the dough out of the fridge and divide it in half to make it easier to work. Spread a 5-7 mm sheet that is cut in the shape of a pretzel, you can cut sticks or circles.

Put in a tray lined with baking paper, grease with beaten egg and sprinkle with seeds (poppy, sesame, cumin). Bake at medium temperature for about 15 minutes, depending on the oven.

Take them out on the plate (watch out for your fingers) and serve them as an aperitif with a glass of beer!
