Ingredients for making mulled wine with honey

Making mulled wine with honey:

Step 1: put the fruit and wine in the pan.

First of all, it is worth choosing the right wine! The most ideal wines for this warming drink are dry red wines, preferably not strong. Then we take an orange and an apple. We wash them and on a cutting board we cut into small, arbitrary pieces, after removing the peel from them. Remember, no matter what citrus fruit is used in the recipe, be sure to remove the peel from it. This must be done because very often citrus fruits in stores are covered with a polymer protective film. It is so thin that you can’t see it at all. This is done so that the fruits are stored as long as possible and retain the most attractive appearance. Such a film is simply impossible to remove at home, even if you wash the fruit under hot water. Although the film is not hazardous to health, it is still worthwhile to remove the peel from the fruit first. After that, put the orange and apple in the pan and pour them with wine.

Step 2: heat the wine with spices.

Before you put the wine to warm, add honey and spices to the pan. Now put the pan on a small fire. Mulled wine should never be brought to a boil, otherwise it will just go bad for you. The most optimal temperature for heating it is 68-72 degrees. You can heat mulled wine in any dish, but not in metal. The use of silver utensils is allowed. The wine needs to be heated until the resulting white foam will not disappear.

Step 3: serve mulled wine with honey.

Remove mulled wine from the fire and give it minutes 8-10 to insist. Mulled wine with honey is drunk only hot and without fail from tall (so as not to cool so quickly) preferably completely transparent (to drink and admire the color of the drink) glasses while inhaling hot ether vapors.
