Preparation of Orange Salad Fruit Salad:

Step 1: peel the fruits.

Rinse each fruit thoroughly and pour over boiling water. After that, dry with a towel and take the knife. The easiest way to clean a broom is from a set of citrus fruits - we make an incision in three places and remove the skin from it. Due to the fact that its peel is softer and “porous” than that of an orange and grapefruit, it is more easily removed. As a rule, there remains a white “underskirt” under it - we clean it with a knife. We need half. Next up are oranges and grapefruit. I usually spend a lot of time with them. They can give juice during cleaning ... Remove the peel from bananas, take on the melon. There are two options - either we peel it, roughly speaking, like potatoes, cut it in half, peel it; or we cut, clean and then, in the process of cutting, we separate the peel separately. In my opinion, it’s easier to clean immediately.


Step 2: chop the fruit.

In a salad bowl we cut: a melon into 3x3 cm cubes; divide the banana into quarters along, and then cut each quarter into a layer a centimeter and a half; cut the broomstick into cubes in the same way, only smaller, about 2x2; grapefruit and oranges remain. First, cut the grapefruit - since the fruit is quite bitter, it is better not to cut it finely. Divided into slices and in half, or three, depends on the size of the slices. With an orange, we will act more mercifully - they will not cut it, but ... we will remove the peel from the slices and, if possible, pick out the bones.

Step 3: season the salad.

Grind the walnuts in a blender, sprinkle with powdered sugar and mix in the salad. We drip a couple of drops of olive oil and mix thoroughly, but carefully.

Step 4: serve the salad.


If you want to serve in an original way, you can use the peel of the second part of the pomelo (or the first if you have not started peeling the fruit) instead of the salad bowl. Only pull the fruit out of the peel without damaging it. Serve at any time of the day!

Recipe Tips:

- The ingredients are designed so that sweet melon and banana with powder distract from the bitterness of the pomelo and grapefruit. However, it is better to try them before adding pomelo and grapefruit to the salad. Bitterness may be too pronounced and add powder, for example;

- You can add finely chopped fresh mint to the salad;

- The composition may vary depending on the season, however, in this salad the emphasis is on orange - after all, most of the year it can be found in stores.
