Cooking ladybugs from tomatoes:

Step 1: prepare the peas.

Usually children hate peas or any other vegetables! That's why we will resort to small tricks and, in addition to a beautiful dish, add pea puree, which will be combined not only in color with the ladybirds, but also in taste. So, we put a pot of plain water on a big fire. When the water boils, salt it a little and make the fire a little quieter than average. Put the peas in the container and, when the water boils again, cook the ingredient for 2-3 minutesuntil the peas soften. Attention: stir everything with a tablespoon from time to time and check the peas for readiness. Then, turn off the burner and drain the water over the sieve so that the peas do not fall into the sink. After we fill the pan with cold water and for some time place a sieve with the ingredient in it so that it cools faster. After that, we set aside the pea product so that water is completely glass from it, and it dried out on its own. Then we repeat the same procedure - we place the peas in cold water, and then leave them aside until it dries. Put the cooked peas in a blender bowl and chop 2-3 speed mode. After that, we transfer the pea mass back to the sieve and with the help of a tablespoon we filter it in a deep plate so that the skin and pieces of the legume plant do not get into the pea puree. Thus, we get mashed peas almost smooth without lumps.

Step 2: squeeze the lemon juice.

In this recipe, we really need not a lemon, but only its juice. Therefore, we wash the citrus under running water and cut it into two halves on a cutting board with a knife. Using a juicer, squeeze out each slice of lemon. For a dish we only need 1 tablespoon juice. And there, at your discretion! If you feel that in the ladybugs there is not enough acidity, you can add two spoons.

Step 3: prepare the pea mixture.

Pea puree is ready! Now pour in a tablespoon of olive oil and lemon juice. Attention: leave a few drops of these ingredients to decorate the dish. Beat everything well with a mixer or a hand whisk until all the ingredients turn into a homogeneous mass. Attention: if you want to make a dense mashed potato, then do not use part of the pea puree, but add it as necessary to the total mass. Then, put our mixture in the refrigerator to brew and cool a little. In this case, you can wrap the container with cling film so that the mixture does not absorb extraneous odors.

Step 4: prepare the tomatoes.

We spread the tomatoes in a deep bowl and pour them with boiling water, so that later they can easily peel them. Then, on a cutting board with a knife, we cut off the base of the ingredient and for now put it aside. After carefully remove the pulp from the main part of the tomato with a teaspoon. Attention: We don’t throw out the pulp, as it is still useful to us. We get small cute tomato bowls. Sprinkle the inside of the little bowls with a small amount of salt and put them on the grate with the hole down. Now we put the remaining pieces of tomato on a cutting board, cut off the part where the end of the vegetable stalk was attached (we do not need it) and chop the pieces finely. We take a bowl and put a sieve on it, then transfer the chopped component into it, sprinkle with a small amount of salt, mix everything well with a spoon and leave it in such a state aside so that juice drains from the pieces.

Step 5: prepare the radish.

We wash the radish under running water. On a cutting board with a knife, remove the tails from the component and grind it into small pieces. The fewer pieces we have, the better. The processed component is transferred to a deep bowl.

Step 6: prepare the onion.

We wash the feathers of green onions under running water and finely chop the ingredient with a knife on a cutting board. Shredded onions are transferred to a bowl of radish.

Step 7: prepare the filling of the dish.

In a bowl with chopped radishes and onions, add mayonnaise, canned tuna in oil, boiled rice, and finely chopped pieces of tomato. Mix well with a tablespoon until a homogeneous mass is formed. If desired, you can also lightly pepper the filling with black ground pepper.

Step 8: prepare ladybugs from tomatoes.

All components of the dish are ready! Therefore, with the help of a teaspoon, carefully stuff the tomato pialochki stuffed. Pour a few drops of olive oil and lemon juice into the bowl and mix well. Then we lay out future ladybugs on a flat dish upside down. Attention: so that the filling does not fall out, you can hold it with the convex side of a teaspoon. Every ladybug is coated with an olive-lemon mixture using a pastry brush. We get a kind of harmless glue for olive circles. And now the final moment of the dish! On a cutting board with a very sharp knife, cut with 4-6 olives thin little circles. By 6-8 circles with each olive. We fasten them to the top of the tomato so that they resemble the back of a real ladybug. Important: in order to make a dish accurately, you can string each circle in turn and attach it to the tomato, crushing it with any other equipment, for example, a handle from a teaspoon or another knife. We cut the remaining olives into several halves and place them next to the tomatoes so that outwardly they resemble the head of a ladybug. And at the end of the composition, we take out the pea puree from the refrigerator and carefully spread it with a teaspoon around the ladybugs.

Step 9: serve ladybugs from tomatoes.

Immediately after you made the dish, serve it to the table! Believe me, ladybugs from tomatoes are not only beautiful in appearance, but also very tasty. Do not have time to look around, as your children will ask for an addition, and there may even be adults. Good appetite!

Recipe Tips:

- - The advantage of this recipe is that it can be prepared using any other filling that you like best. Ladybugs can even be stuffed with the famous Olivier or Mimosa salad.

- - Instead of pea puree, you can add ordinary mashed potatoes to the dish or decorate ladybugs with pieces of cucumbers, lettuce leaves and herbs.
