Cooking cutlets in a double boiler:

Step 1: soak the loaf.

We take a loaf, put it on a cutting board and use a kitchen knife to cut 3 slices from it up to 2 centimeters thick.

Pour 100 milliliters of whole pasteurized milk into a deep plate and soak in it slices of flour products, after breaking them into 2 - 3 parts.

Soak the loaf for 10 - 15 minutes or until completely softened. We do this in order to make the cutlets airy and tender.

Step 2: prepare onions and garlic.

Peel onions and garlic with a kitchen knife. Then we wash the vegetables under a stream of cold running water from any kind of pollution and dry them with paper kitchen towels, thus getting rid of excess fluid. After we cut the onion into 5-6 parts and send the slices into a dry and clean blender bowl, put the garlic cloves in the same place.

We turn on the kitchen appliance at high speed, grind the vegetables until a homogeneous porridge-like mass takes less than 1 minute, or even less, to this process.

Then, using a tablespoon, transfer the vegetable mixture into a deep bowl.

Step 3: prepare the minced meat.

Now slightly squeeze the loaf from excess milk and add it to the bowl to the chopped vegetables.

There we put 500 grams of minced meat "assorted" pork and beef.

In the same capacity we drive 1 chicken egg without shell.

Add a little salt with black pepper, they will give the minced meat a pleasant spicy flavor.

With clean hands, mix all the components of the meat to a homogeneous consistency.

Step 4: prepare the double boiler.

We take the instructions of the double boiler and study it very carefully, it will indicate how much water should be poured into the lowest compartment of the double boiler, in our version this is the maximum amount of liquid.

That is, we fill the compartment with water to the maximum to the highest division. Lubricate the bottom of the two remaining removable compartments with vegetable oil, half a teaspoon each.

Step 5: form the cutlets.

Now pour 100 grams of breadcrumbs into a deep plate.

We collect 1 tablespoon of minced meat and put the aromatic mass on the palm of your hand previously moistened in water.

We form an oval or round cutlet from minced meat and envelop it in breadcrumbs.

In the same way, we form the remaining cutlets and put them in the compartments of the double boiler so that they lie at a small distance from each other, it’s enough half millimeter free space between semi-finished meat products.

Step 6: prepare the cutlets in a double boiler.

Now install the compartments on the kitchen appliance, one on top of the other.

We cover them with a lid, turn on the double boiler timer on 40 minutes, and we’re going to come up with a side dish for our meat dish.

After the required time has passed, the kitchen appliance will turn off, notifying you of this with a characteristic ringing sound. Do not immediately remove the lid from the double boiler, do not forget that hot steam has accumulated under it, we are waiting 2 - 3 minutes and then remove it from the kitchen appliance.

We change the compartments with almost ready cutlets in places and again we steam them 20 minutes. In this case, you will be sure that the cutlets have been steamed both outside and inside.

After turning off the steam cooker again, we wait a few minutes again, remove the lid from the kitchen appliance, then carefully place the cutlets with a tablespoon on a large flat plate and serve them hot to the table.

Step 7: serve the patties in a double boiler.

Cutlets in a double boiler are served hot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The taste is not much different from ordinary fried cutlets, except that after steaming they turn out to be less greasy, more airy, tender and healthy.

Boiled rice, steamed, baked or stewed vegetables are suitable as a side dish for this meat dish, but the most ideal option is a vegetable salad and steam cutlets. Enjoy it!
